Niti Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant on Saturday said the government is taking a sequence of measures to make India extremely competitive in the worldwide economic system and pressured that the country will have to get into the sunrise regions of development.
Addressing the FICCI Annual Convention, Kant said the government is also doing work toward bringing down the price tag of logistics.

Kant also said the PLI scheme is a targeted scheme, it is not an investment decision scheme, it is not an investment decision subsidy scheme.
“There are sunrise regions of development wherever India will have to get into,” he said.
“To make Indian companies globally competitive, we must be ready to boost our exports and give rise to economies of scale and we must be ready to develop chopping-edge merchandise,” he said.
Kant also noted that PLI schemes for electronics, mobile and active pharmaceutical substances (APIs)sectors have already been declared.
“And, the PLI scheme for other sectors is likely by means of the course of action of approval,” he said.
The 10 sectors, for which the government has declared the PLI scheme, are associated to progress chemistry mobile battery, digital/technological know-how merchandise, auto, pharmaceutical, and telecom and networking merchandise.
They also include things like textiles merchandise, foodstuff merchandise, large-efficiency photo voltaic PV modules, white products (ACs and LED), and speciality steel.
