Financial Training 2020: methodology and key

This is the ninth edition of the FT Worldwide Masters in Finance rankings, which listing both pre-practical experience programmes and post-practical experience levels.

The FT defines pre-practical experience programmes as individuals aimed at students with very little or no skilled practical experience, while submit-practical experience programmes require members to have labored in finance. Most entire-time programmes are aimed at pre-practical experience students.

Masters in fiscal engineering levels are not provided in these rankings as they are inclined to area higher emphasis on quantitative expertise.

The rankings are dependent on data collected in two independent surveys. The 1st is of the small business schools and the 2nd of alumni who concluded their levels in 2017.

For a college to be suitable for the rankings, at least 20 for each cent of its alumni should react to the FT study, with a minimal of 20 responses. Thanks to the Covid-19 crisis, this year only, the FT viewed as schools with a lessen response price. In full it surveyed about five,960 graduates from pre-practical experience programmes and about three hundred alumni from submit-practical experience courses. The two surveys achieved a response price of 35 for each cent and 37 for each cent respectively.
