CPT policy chief Alison Edwards said: “Allowing the coach travel sector to collapse would be a dereliction of duty from the Government. The sector is critical to continued progress of British isles tourism by making certain that millions of persons can check out sights throughout the British isles each year.

“Without assistance for coach travel we are jeopardizing not just the long term of the sector but work throughout the tourism industry as persons struggle to travel to days out.”

Kurt Janson, a director of the Tourism Alliance additional: “Coach operators are a significant and critical component of the UK’s world-course tourism industry.

“Irrespective of whether it be using abroad readers on tour, college students on academic visits, transferring conference delegates, bringing athletics supporters to video games or delivering day visits for persons to check out sights or see a West Close clearly show, they provide earnings and work to every spot they check out.”
