The world’s biggest cruise corporation has begun cancelling next year’s trips in a fresh blow to an field devastated by the coronavirus pandemic.

Previous FTSE 100 cruise operator Carnival blamed border constraints and the “continued uncertainty of airline travel” for axing Princess Cruises sailings in early 2021.

Jan Swartz, Princess Cruises president, reported: “We share in the disappointment of this cancellation for attendees of our globe cruises.”

The cancellations adhere to an announcement by Cunard, also owned by Carnival, that products and services will be suspended right until March next calendar year.

All sailings have been cancelled for Queen Elizabeth right until Mar twenty five,  Queen Mary two right until Apr 18, and Queen Victoria right until May possibly sixteen, Cunard reported.

Shares in Carnival, also stated on the New York stock exchange, have plunged about fears that the Miami-headquartered corporation faces a very long highway to recovery in the wake of the pandemic.
