Atos partners with University of Oxford on largest AI supercomputer in the UK

Paris and London, 4 August 2020

Atos, a international leader in digital transformation, has signed a 4-12 months agreement worthy of £5 million with the University of Oxford to supply a new, state of the art, deep learning supercomputer created on the NVIDIA DGX SuperPOD™ architecture, which will enable United kingdom academics and sector to drive forward scientific discoveries and innovation in equipment learning and synthetic intelligence, as part of the JADE2 task.

The premier AI-centered supercomputer in the United kingdom with above 500 NVIDIA GPUs, this significant-performance technique is funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Investigation Council (EPSRC), and aims to construct on the accomplishment of the recent JADE1 (Joint Educational Details Science Endeavour) facility – a nationwide resource providing superior GPU computing services to environment-main AI and equipment learning professionals from a consortium of 8 United kingdom universities and the Alan Turing Institute.
