| 2/1/2011 Wildland Firefighter Training Announcement: The Maryland State Department of Natural Resources has announced that registration for the annual Pack Test and Refresher training for 2012 is now open. The dates are Friday April 20th, and Saturday May 5h. Registration deadline is April 6th and seating is limited so register ASAP. Click here for the official training information release. | 1/25/2011 Wildland Firefighter Training Announcement: The Maryland State Department of Natural Resources has announced that information for the annual Pack Test and Refresher training for 2012 will be made available February 1st. Additional details will be posted as soon as they are available. |
| 1/25/2011 New Wildland Firefighter Training Announcement: The Maryland State Department of Natural Resources has posted the training announcement and schedule for new firefighters requiring the S130 – Wildland Firefighter, S190 – Introduction to Wildland Fire Behavior, L180-Human Factors on the Fireline, and I100 – Introduction to ICS training. This basic training is one of several requirements all new wildland firefighters must complete. Training will be the week of March 12th. | 1/24/2011 Wildland Firefighter Training Announcement: The Mid-Atlantic Wildfire Training Academy has announced that the 2012 training dates will be from June 2nd through June 8th, 2012.
